Professor Sir Cato T. Laurencin Appointed to Hitchcock Professorship at the University of California
Laurencin has been appointed to the Charles M. and Martha Hitchcock Professorship at the University of California, Berkeley, for the 2026-2027 academic year.

AAAS Fellows at UConn
American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellowship is among the highest distinctions in the scientific community, recognizing researchers whose work advances knowledge and benefits society.
Thirty-five UConn faculty members have earned this honor, representing a broad range of fields, from engineering, mathematics, and medicine to agriculture, psychology, anthropology, and linguistics.

Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor
The Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor is the highest honor that the University bestows on faculty who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and service. This award includes a $2,500 one-year stipend to be used by each recipient to further their professional activities.
