Provost’s Awards

The Provost’s Awards recognize faculty and staff whose work advances UConn’s academic mission through excellence in scholarship, teaching, service, and community engagement. These awards highlight individual and collective contributions that strengthen the university’s impact across disciplines and communities.

Programs and Resources

The following programs and offices provide support for faculty teaching, research, professional development, and external engagement.

Supports faculty in the design and delivery of effective, inclusive, and evidence-based teaching. CETL offers consultations, workshops, teaching resources, and programming focused on pedagogy, instructional innovation, and student learning.

Provides noncredit courses, certificates, and workforce development programs for adult learners and professionals. Offerings are developed in partnership with faculty and industry to support skill development, career advancement, and lifelong learning.

Wilbur Cross

Oversees graduate education across the university, supporting master’s, doctoral, and certificate programs, and promoting academic excellence and professional development.

Advances community-engaged learning and scholarship by connecting students, faculty, and staff with community partners. Initiatives include service-learning, public engagement, and collaborative projects that apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges. 

Students in Clinical Dietetics Practicum I (DIET 3155) in the Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) visit with patients to discuss healthy eating at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Storrs.

Coordinates academic offerings during intersession periods, providing faculty with opportunities to teach intensive or alternative-format courses. These programs support curricular flexibility and expanded access to UConn coursework for a range of student populations.
