The Office of the Provost supports a range of academic programs and services that contribute to student learning, progression, and post-graduate success. These efforts span early access to higher education, undergraduate and graduate pathways, and integrated academic and co-curricular support.

Academic Pathways
Programs that provide entry points into the university, flexible degree options, and advanced study.

Honors Program
Provides academically rigorous opportunities for high-achieving students through enhanced coursework, faculty mentorship, research, and experiential learning within a structured academic community.

Early College Programs
Offers high school students the opportunity to take UConn courses and earn college credit while still in high school. Courses are aligned with university standards and support college readiness and transition to higher education.

Graduate School
Oversees graduate education across the university, supporting master’s, doctoral, and certificate programs, and promoting academic excellence and professional development.

Summer and Winter Programs
Offers courses during intersession periods, allowing students to accelerate degree progress, complete requirements, or explore new areas of study with flexible scheduling options.

Programs focused on retention, achievement, and holistic student development.

Undergraduate Advising
Provides centralized advising support, particularly for students exploring majors or pursuing flexible degree pathways such as the Bachelor of General Studies. Advising focuses on academic planning, transition, and timely degree completion.

Institute for Student Success
Leads university-wide efforts to improve retention, progression, and completion through coordinated advising, academic support services, learning communities, and data-informed initiatives.

Student-Athlete Success Program
Supports student-athletes through advising, tutoring, mentoring, and skill development to help balance academic and athletic commitments.

Veterans Affairs and Military Programs
Offers support for veterans, active-duty service members, and military-connected students, including assistance with educational benefits, transition to university life, and ongoing academic support.
Lifelong Learning and Professional Development
Programs supporting continuing education, workforce development, and nontraditional learners.

Continuing and Professional Education
Provides noncredit courses, certificates, and workforce development programs for adult learners and professionals. Offerings are developed in partnership with faculty and industry to support skill development, career advancement, and lifelong learning.
